Latest official economic activity figures published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) confirm Liverpool City Region’s strong economic performance in recent years.

Welcoming the news Robert Hough, Chair, Liverpool City Region LEP said: “Liverpool City Region has recorded a strong economic performance over recent years and these figures clearly underline the progress being made to deliver sustainable economic growth across the City Region.  This has been driven by robust private sector jobs growth – with an additional 44,000 new private sector jobs since 2010, coupled with a growing stock of businesses.

“These figures also show economic output for the City Region was one of the strongest of all the Northern Powerhouse core city regions, highlighting the important role of the City Region in helping to create a pan-Northern labour market.”
