TicketQuarter has won a series of new contracts for a range of musical events.

The ticketing agency is the primary ticketing partner for the British Music Experience which is set to open in Liverpool on March 9. The permanent exhibition, dedicated to the history of popular music in Britain, will use state of the art effects and feature iconic memorabilia from the past 70 years. TicketQuarter will be selling all advance tickets for the experience which will take place in the Cunard Building.

Judith Owens, director of operations and deputy CEO from The British Music Experience, said “We look forward to working closely with our ticketing partner TicketQuarter and have complete confidence that the team will deliver our requirements.”

In addition to this, the agency is now the official ticketing partner for warehouse venue Hangar 34 in the Baltic Triangle. It has also been selected as one of the ticket partners for a one-off show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Velvet Underground & Nico album. Liverpool will host the only European show on May 26 2017.

Henry Brown, head of TicketQuarter, said: “We are pleased to confirm the ticketing for a selection of high profile musical events in the city. For Liverpool to be chosen as the only European destination to perform the Velvet Underground’s massively influential album is a huge coup and for us to be one of the partners selling the tickets is a great opportunity. Similarly, The British Music Experience will be an iconic attraction and one TicketQuarter is proud to partner.”

TicketQuarter has also been appointed official ticketing partner for Liverpool Olympia which has been a key venue in the city for more than 70 years.

TicketQuarter sells tickets for music, comedy, theatre and arts, family entertainment, exhibitions and sport for a variety of regional venues and more than 200 events across the North West including Fusion Festival, St George’s Hall, Farmaggedon and Aintree Racecourse. As the ticketing arm of The ACC Liverpool Group, home to BT Convention Centre, Echo Arena and Exhibition Centre Liverpool, it also provides tickets for Echo Arena Liverpool and Exhibition Centre Liverpool events.

The company provides support for event promoters and venues including online ticketing; contact centre and hotline; marketing and promotional support; customer service support and account management.

Brown added: “These latest wins show that we have built up a strong reputation in the entertainment market and can take care of all ticketing requirements for our clients.”
