Award-winning celebrity hairdresser establishes an exclusive training partnership with Knowsley Community College.

Former British Hairdresser of the Year, Lee Stafford, is bringing his Education Academy to Knowsley. The nationally acclaimed programme, which teaches students standardised ‘recipes’ for creating innovative styles, will be delivered by Knowsley Community College and based at their new campus.

The celebrity hairdresser, known for his award-winning salons, hair product range and TV appearances, created the education arm of his business a year after being voted the UK’s most influential hairdresser in 2011.
Lee explained; “The Lee Stafford Education model creates the most inspired hairdressing teachers in the country to enable students to excel in their learning, their imagination and ultimately in their employment.”

Knowsley Community College will be working alongside Lee’s handpicked team of trainers, salon owners and hairdressers. They will also have a dedicated KCC Artistic Director who will coordinate training of the KCC hairdressing team to enhance learning for hundreds of students each year across the Liverpool City Region.

The salon, which will be based in the College’s £32 million new campus, is undergoing a complete remodelling and rebranding as part of this initiative.

Gill Banks, Deputy Principal, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working in partnership with Lee Stafford and his team here at Knowsley Community College. This is an amazing opportunity for our highly skilled team to learn new and innovative ways of teaching, and help inspire hairdressers across the Liverpool City Region.

“The partnership reflects the College’s commitment to providing outstanding provision and the best possible outcomes for all our learners. The partnership is exclusive, which means that only at Knowsley Community College can students benefit from this great experience.”
