Liverpool Hope University is celebrating another strong performance in the National Student Survey, ranking in the top 10 nationally in eight out of nine categories.[i]

With an overall student satisfaction rate of 90.29% (8th in the UK), and well above the national average of 84.18%, Liverpool Hope also topped seven out of the nine categories in the North West.

The National Student Survey, published on 9th August, asked nearly half a million students at publicly funded Higher Education Institutions across the UK to rate their satisfaction with their university experience.

Liverpool Hope continues to make its mark nationally, being ranked top in the UK for Assessment and Feedback, 2nd in the UK for Learning Resources and Student Voice, 4th in the UK for Teaching Quality, Learning Opportunities and Academic Support and 8th in the UK for Learning Community.

Liverpool Hope is one of only two universities in the North West, and the only Merseyside-based University to be ranked in the top ten nationally.

Liverpool Hope’s Students’ Union is also celebrating after taking the top spot in the North West, and 7th place in the UK for student satisfaction.

The news comes after the University was awarded a Gold rating in the government’s Teaching Excellence Framework in June this year.

Dr Penny Haughan, Dean of Students at Liverpool Hope University said: “We’re proud to be in the top 10 in the UK in nearly every category. Our aim is to offer a joined up, consistently excellent student experience, and we are glad that this is being recognised.

“Being rated top 4 in the UK, top 2 in the North West and top in Merseyside for overall student satisfaction, is fantastic news for us, but more importantly, for our students.

“We are especially proud of being ranked top in the UK for Assessment and Feedback, and of our national and regional rankings in Teaching Quality, Student Voice, and Learning Resources and Opportunities.

“At Liverpool Hope, we believe in keeping an open dialogue with our students, giving them access to the best learning resources available, and ensuring that they are stretched academically.”
