Liverpool’s Mad Hatter Brewing Company has created a second exclusive and delicious craft beer for Vasily Petrenko, Chief Conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, celebrating his ten years at the helm of the Orchestra, and the internationally acclaimed musical partnership that they have forged together in concerts, recordings and broadcasts.

Vasily is known to enjoy a glass of real ale, and it’s his drink of choice after conducting a concert with the Orchestra at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

In 2015, Mad Hatter Brewing Company created Vasily Petrenko Ale that was especially selected by the Russian Maestro, who took up the conductor’s baton in Liverpool in 2006.

Vasily Petrenko said: “Thanks again to Mad Hatter for creating this one of a kind beer brewed exclusively for Liverpool Philharmonic, marking ten hugely enjoyable years for me in the great city of Liverpool with our fantastic musicians, audiences and supporters. I really like it, and I hope others will enjoy a glass of it as well. Here’s to many more years of great music.’

Liverpool Philharmonic celebrates the 10th anniversary of Vasily Petrenko with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in a special concert tonight at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, with a concert programme that touches on highlights of their partnership so far.
