Welcoming the Devolution package of proposals for the Liverpool City Region a spokesperson for the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) said: “This is a distinct and comprehensive package, one that draws on the City Region’s strengths and natural advantages. This deal is about setting the City Region on a path to sustainable economic growth and achieving that goal; it also signals the beginning of a more mature relationship between the City Region and Government.

“As the voice of the private sector on the Combined Authority, the LEP is committed to working with our Members and businesses across the City Region in the next critical phase to ensure that the devolution deal delivers.

“This document should not be seen as the end of this very important debate but rather the start of something truly significant for everyone. Therefore, we have organised an event on 17th September where we will discuss this proposition in more detail with the private sector”.
