The Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, sponsored by Liverpool ONE, are back – and entries are now open.
The event, which celebrates the region’s best tourism businesses and individuals, is urging all award hopefuls to submit their entries now.
More than 500 people are expected to attend this year’s event, which is taking place on May 18th at St George’s Hall – and organisers are once again expecting it to be a sell out.
With categories including Hotel of the Year, Taste Liverpool, Independent Tourism Business of the Year and Tourism Star there is something for everyone across the region.
Peter Sandman, Head of Visitor Economy Development at the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), said:
‘‘These awards recognise quality across our vital tourism sector and this event is the perfect setting to acknowledge not just hard work and excellence, but the important and major role the industry has on the region’s economy.
‘‘Now that entries are open I would encourage all businesses and individuals to take a look at the simplified application form and get their entries in early.’’
Many of the winners from this award ceremony go on to achieve national recognition at events such as the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

- Best Newcomer to the Visitor Economy
- Tourism Star
- Tourism Young Person
