Commenting on the opening of the Burbo Bank Extension offshore windfarm, Asif Hamid, Chair of the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) said:
“I warmly welcome the inauguration of the Burbo Bank Extension windfarm. It represents one of the largest investments into our area in recent years. Our City Region plays a vital role in this rapidly expanding sector and the Burbo Bank Extension will contribute significantly to the City Region economy. The LEP and partners have worked closely with DONG Energy at every stage of the project and we will continue this work towards our strategic ambition of making the City Region the largest marine energy hub in Europe.”
