GROWING THE HEALTH ECONOMY TOGETHER

Health Innovation Exchange (HIE) is a collaborative support programme designed to connect Liverpool City Region businesses with world-class health, care, technology and commercial resources to accelerate innovation and growth within the health & social care sector.

Part- funded by European Regional Development Fund, the Health Innovation Exchange unites regional expertise to support ambitious businesses develop and market innovative products and services from ideas to invoice.

By working with some of the best minds in health, social care and business, it supports Liverpool City Region businesses take advantage of opportunities in health and care by encouraging the creation of new products and services, bringing smart products to the market and repurposing existing products for the sector.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Innovators

The programme offers support and development to innovative Liverpool City Region businesses capable of moving into, or growing within, the health and care sectors with new or existing services, products or processes. This includes software developers, with the ability to offer new ways of thinking about patient interfaces or technology firms & engineering firms with the resources to break into rehabilitative robotics. Others will offer new ways to care for patients and increase well-being.

NHS and Care Colleagues

The programme also aims to support the NHS Trusts and healthcare professionals to find solutions to rising problems through collaboration with businesses that are creating innovative products and services that can save them time, make their jobs easier and improve patient care.

WHAT SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE 

The greatest asset available to the Health Innovation Exchange is the quality of the delivery partners, which include: Liverpool CCG, Aimes, Alder Hey NHS Trust, Innovation Agency, Liverpool City Region LEP, LJMU and Mersey Care NHS Trust.
