[post_content] => Liverpool City Region is currently working through a government driven area based skills review which is looking at post 16 education and training. Government have determined the need to move towards fewer, larger, more resilient and efficient colleges.
The review focuses on General Further Education and Sixth Form Colleges with a view to ensuring they offer high quality and relevant provision based on the current and future needs of learners and employers within the local area.
This area review provides employers in the City Region with a real opportunity to play a key role in making sure that our post 16 provision is of the excellence required to help drive our businesses and our economy forward. There will also be an opportunity on the day to hear more detail about the skills agenda in the recently adopted Growth Strategy. Again as employers will be in the driving seat for this work.
