The Liverpool City Region is home to a vibrant Health and Life Sciences ecosystem of companies, healthcare organisations and universities that collaborate to translate medical research into clinical practice. To facilitate collaborations, a number of business parks and incubators with unique facilities are available within the region, including the new Accelerator, with advanced infectious diseases and disease resistance capabilities, which will open later this year. The event will focus on translational research in Liverpool and North of England, and why companies are establishing and growing operations in the region.

The event will feature contributions from Janet Hemingway (Director of the Liverpool School of Topical Medicine), Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed (Executive Director of Liverpool Health Partners and University of Liverpool), and Dr Liz Mear (Chief Executive of the Innovation Agency). The health and life sciences sector of the Liverpool City Region is growing quickly and this event presents a unique oportunity to assess activities, discuss routes to market into the NHS, and plan future collaborations.

There is also a chance to tour the fantastic new facility, Accelerator, at the close of the event. If you would like to join the tour, please book in advance in addition to registering for the event.
