Join LCR Activate for a deep-dive into the Internet of Things – an exploration of how increased technological interconnection of ordinary, everyday home-items (such as smart toasters or wearable sensors) can and will be used to shape our lives.

The fourth State of the Art event will bring together SMEs from the Liverpool City Region to hear from creative and digital experts about IoT. This event coincides with the Living Room of the Future at FACT, an immersive experience that uses data to personalise media to people delivered through multiple devices, in a home environment.

Speakers include:

  • Ian Forrester, Senior Producer at BBC R&D
  • Phoenix Perry, Lecturer in Physical Computing and Games at Goldsmiths, University of London
  • Patrick and Jen Fenner, Founders of DefProc and Initiators of The Things Network Liverpool
  • Dr Áine MacDermott, Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security and IoT at Liverpool John Moores University
