Mark Whitworth Chair of Peel Ports Group. Since his appointment in 2010 Mark has overseen a £1bn investment programme, which includes L2 the new deep sea container terminal in Liverpool and acquisition Gt Yarmouth Port in East Anglia.

An Established Leader, Mark has a proven track record of transforming businesses and consistently delivering Shareholder value.

Starting his career with Marks & Spencer plc before moving to then FTSE 250 Speedy Hire plc in 1995 where Mark held several leadership and Board roles before Peel Airports Group in 2006 as CEO.

Today, in addition to his Role of Peel Ports CEO, Mark is a member of the Peel Group Board and a Director of the UK Major Ports Group Board.

Mark is the champion for Maritime & Logistics (incl Transport) on the LEP Board.
