The Edge is coming to Liverpool…..as part of this year’s International Festival for Business.

It is the official fringe festival of IFB2016 and will run alongside the main festival from 13 June – 1 July.

The Edge will be a creative programme of events and activities all designed to ensure that businesses in the city region obtain maximum benefits from the festival.

Supported by the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, The Edge will run three main types of events: conversations with…, how to’s and provocations. In addition to these, there will be the inaugural Edge Awards launched on June 13th and Club Edgy, the hottest ticket in town!

One of the key sponsors, are business advisors Grant Thornton LLP. Carl Williams, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton, which has offices in Liverpool and Manchester, said: “We are very pleased to support The Edge and think the concept sits well with the core festival. Our underlying purpose is to build a vibrant economy and we give a great deal of thought to helping businesses unlock their potential. There is work to be done at every level within UK Plc to boost growth – and we think events like The Edge and IFB2016 itself create opportunities to take positive steps forward.”

Businesses can get involved through a number of ways:
• Attend events and enjoy networking opportunities throughout the city region
• Sponsor, host, deliver, and/or speak at The Edge events
• Brand and include your event(s) within The Edge 2016 programme
• Create your own event for The Edge 2016
• Think creatively about how you can use The Edge to grow and develop your business

Kate Willard, The Edge Festival Director, said: “I am delighted to be leading The Edge. Its values and brand have already gained real traction with businesses across the City Region. The emerging programme of events is looking fantastic! And appropriately Edgy. If you’re not already involved, come and join us!”
