Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) was created in 2012 to bring together businesses and civic leaders to drive private-sector led growth and job creation. Our focus is on improving the economic prosperity of the City Region for those who live, work, invest and study here. We do this though working closely with our Members, political leaders and businesses from across the City Region creating a mix that is capable of accessing central Government funds and pulling the right levers to boost economic growth. Our membership model makes us unique among England’s 38 LEP areas. With its 500-plus members, the region’s major organisations and many of its most forward thinking enterprises are committed supporters working with us to win more business for the Liverpool City Region. Members, large and small, play an important and significant role in supporting and developing core LEP activities. We are the only body representing the entire City Region at Government level, and Government engagement in the City Region is fulfilled via the LEP. When we need to, we lobby Government on Key policy issues and commission market intelligence to inform a cohesive economic development strategy for the City Region. Our LEP provides an effective focus to economic development – helping business grow and create jobs – across the City Region.
