Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) was created in 2012 to bring together businesses and civic leaders to drive private-sector led growth and job creation. It covers the local authority areas of Liverpool, Halton, Knowsley, St Helens, Wirral and Sefton. The Local Enterprise Partnership is a business-led, strategic partnership responsible for driving economic growth in the area. LEPs have a board with a maximum of 20 people, with the option to co-opt an additional five Board members with specialist knowledge on a one-year basis, unless there are exceptional circumstances. Co-opted members do not count in respect of overall board size. As Chair of the Enterprise Advisory Board Asif Hamid will engage with and act as champion of SMEs at the LEP Board. The LEP Board makes no funding decisions, advising only on the strategic merit of programmes and projects in the context of the Single Growth Strategy. Such decisions are reserved for the Combined Authority which includes the LEP as one of its eight Members. About the LEP Board Advisory Council Appointments Committee LEP Sub Boards LEP Company
